During the 2024-25 school year, the Motion Simulator team worked on designing and fabricating a three degree-of-freedom motion platform. From the structure and system to the software and circuitry, students across engineering, computer science, and related fields contributed to the team's success!

During the 2023-24 school year, the Ride Restraint team worked on designing, prototyping, and building a full-scale model of a ratcheting Class-5 ride restraint system. In other words, we created an individual ride seat with a working restraint mechanism!

In the Fall 2023 semester, work began on planning and designing the animatronic figure head. During Spring 2024, the team moved into assembly and testing, utilizing technical skills and advanced mechanical design principles to turn the head into a reality.

The Ride Design team has worked on several unique ride projects throughout the years, including a fully themed trackless dark ride and a flat ride similar to the iconic Dumbo ride but with a unique flipping mechanism.

For 3 years, Gator TPED was hard at work designing, manufacturing, and assembling a scale model roller coaster to be displayed on campus. This scale model was designed using the same principles, practices, and standards with which real-life roller coasters are designed.
