OLIVIA GRINAGE

President

​

Olivia is a 3rd year Interior Design major. She enjoys learning about how attractions work and has a passion for creating memorable themed experiences that allow guests to escape from reality. With an internship experience at PGAV Destinations, she hopes to work in the Hospitality design sector on the interiors of themed restaurants, attractions, resorts, or cruise ships.

 

Her favorite rides include VelociCoaster and Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, as well as Steel Vengeance.

LAUREN MCCONKEY

Internal VP

​

Lauren McConkey is a 3rd year Architecture major with a minor in Landscape Architecture. She is also a captain for the Creative Design Team. She hopes to work in the Themed Entertainment industry because of her love of immersive storytelling.

 

Her favorite rides include the Jungle Cruise, the PeopleMover, Dinosaur, and Mission: Space.

ELLIOT MYERS

Treasurer

Elliot Myers is a 2nd year mechanical engineering major. He enjoys learning about the physics behind roller coasters and the logic behind their design. He hopes to find an internship in the industry using his experience from being a ride operator at Cedar Point.


His favorite ride is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind due to its immersive ride experience and story combined with the consistently exciting track layout.

JOSHUA KESTEN

Design Team Liaison

​

Joshua is a 4th year studying mechanical engineering. He is also a Captain of the Haunted House Design team with a passion for both ride design and horror. With his role as Design Team Liaison, he is also heavily involved in Ride Restraint and Animatronic design teams. He has done 4 engineering internships outside the theme park industry with Lockheed Martin. Additionally, he has interned in the industry with Premier Rides and Universal Creative. He aims to use his experience to help out the design teams and the organization as a whole. 

His favorite ride overall is Haunted Mansion, as it is timeless with great theming. With a shoutout to Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind and Iron Gwazi for being some of his favorite coasters.

LAURA ERK

Secretary

​

Laura is a 2nd year Mechanical Engineering major. She enjoys learning about the ways in which theme park attractions work. She hopes to be able to work in the theme park industry one day to help design new and innovative attractions.

 

Her favorite attractions are Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Revenge of the Mummy, and Loch Ness Monster.

JAKE BLUMBERG

Logistics Chair

​

Jake Blumberg is a 5th year Electrical Engineering major who is also pursuing programs in Theatre Production, Lighting Design, and Engineering Project Management. He currently works for ThemeWorks on various projects for theme parks worldwide. He hopes to use his engineering skills to bring positive change and spark the imagination of guests.

 

His favorite rides include The Enchanted Tiki Room, DINOSAUR, and Mako.

ZACHARY BEER

PR Chair

​

Zachary is a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering major. He has always loved theme parks and hopes to combine this with his passion for helping people with intellectual/developmental disabilities by designing attractions that can be experienced by a wider range of people.

 

His favorite attraction is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror because of the incredible attention to detail.

DJ SANCHEZ

Recruitment Lead

​

DJ Sanchez is a 3rd year Mechanical Engineering major. He spends his time researching themed attractions, engaging with the Hispanic/Latinx community in Gainesville, and embracing different cultures. Creating attractions from thrilling coasters to immersive experiences with Disney Imagineering or Universal Creative is his greatest aspiration.

​

DJ's favorite rides are Montu, Iron Gwazi, Velocicoaster and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

GRACE WATTS

Competition Chair

​

Grace is a 4th year Materials Science engineering student. She has been involved with TPED since her freshman year through ride team, Swamp Thrills, and as workshop chair. She enjoys learning how theme park attractions work and hopes to one day work on these attractions.

Her favorite ride in Florida is Iron Gwazi with an honorable mention to Velocicoaster.
