MEET THE OFFICERS

President

Elliot Myers is a 3rd-year mechanical engineering major. He enjoys learning about the physics behind roller coasters and the logic behind their design. He hopes to find an internship in the industry using his experience from being a ride operator at Cedar Point.

His favorite ride is Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind due to its immersive ride experience and story combined with the consistently exciting track layout.

Internal Vice President

Jordan Schmidt is a 4th-year Mechanical Engineering major with a certificate in Engineering Project Management. He hopes to one day work on creating products or experiences that make people smile and create amazing memories.

 

Jordan's favorite roller coaster is VelociCoaster, his favorite dark ride is Pirates of the Caribbean, and his favorite shows are Happily Ever After and Momentous.

External Vice President

DJ Sanchez is a 4th-year Mechanical Engineering major. He spends his time researching themed attractions, engaging with the Hispanic/Latinx community in Gainesville, and embracing different cultures. Creating attractions from thrilling coasters to immersive experiences with Disney Imagineering or Universal Creative is his greatest aspiration.

DJ's favorite rides are Montu, Iron Gwazi, Velocicoaster and Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey.

Laura is a 3rd-year Mechanical Engineering major. She enjoys learning about the ways in which theme park attractions work. She hopes to be able to work in the theme park industry one day to help design new and innovative attractions.

 

Her favorite attractions are Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, Revenge of the Mummy, and Loch Ness Monster.

Secretary

​Allie is a 2nd-year Architecture major. She has a passion for powerful storytelling, especially for the ways those stories are used in the theme park industry. She hopes to one day contribute to the industry through the development and design of immersive experiences and attractions.

Her favorite rides are Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Haunted Mansion.

PR Chair

Parker Loftin is a 3rd-year construction management student. She enjoys the construction side of theme parks and is fascinated with the building process for attractions. She hopes to one day work in the theme park industry and help oversee the construction of new buildings and attractions.

 

Her favorite attractions are the Incredible Hulk Coaster, Thunder Mountain, and Revenge of the Mummy.

Recruitment Lead

Reilly is a 3rd-year mechanical engineering major. She loves to learn more about how rides and animatronics function and see guests experience these attractions. She hopes to work in the theme park industry to bring new innovations and experiences to life. 

 

Her favorite attractions are Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike Adventure, Tower of Terror, and Revenge of the Mummy.
