Answers to some common questions!
HOW DO I JOIN GATOR TPED?
A great way to start is to come to one of our General Body Meetings, also known as a GBM. At our GBMs, we'll give you updates on the club including how you can get involved with the design teams, any upcoming events, and general opportunities in the themed entertainment industry. These meetings are typically held on UF campus on Wednesday nights. Be sure to follow us on Instagram and join our Discord to receive room and time information!
WHO CAN JOIN GATOR TPED?
The organization is a multi-disciplinary club, so anyone can join! There are no experience or background requirements. This club is for all UF students!
HOW DO I JOIN A DESIGN TEAM?
Just come to any of the meetings whether it be the General Body Meetings (GBMs) or the actual team meetings themselves! Whether the first week or halfway through the year, there is always more work to be done, so new hands are always welcome.
Visit each design team's page under the Design Teams tab for more information on each team, including meeting times and locations!
DO I NEED EXPERIENCE TO JOIN A DESIGN TEAM?
Nope! No experience is expected or required. Our talented Design Team Captains have extensive experience and will teach you valuable skills that you can apply to help the team and use in your future careers.
WHAT IS SWAMP THRILLS?
Swamp Thrills is Gator TPED's own theme park design competition, hosted here on University of Florida campus. Multidisciplinary teams respond to given project prompts and present their work in front of industry judges.
