TRACKLESS DARK RIDE PROJECT

Throughout the 2021-2022 school year, the Ride Design Team worked on developing a trackless dark ride with a drop tower element! Have a look at what each of the various teams worked on:

STORY TEAM

The Story Team developed the story and concept art for the attraction. The theme was a reimagined tale of Icarus in space (sci-fi action). The end goal for the story team was to develop a model layout with miniature scenes.

MECHANICAL TEAM

The Mechanical Team was responsible for all the moving parts for the attraction. In addition to the model layout, they planned on creating an independent actual working ride vehicle and drop tower. This vehicle would be capable of moving in any direction and would not need a track to operate.

CONTROLS TEAM

To play, press and hold the enter key. To stop, release the enter key.

The Controls Team was responsible for the entire ride system and was in charge of sending instructions to the ride vehicle and drop tower. The system must locate the vehicle and send it instructions on what movements to do next.
